
Police charged a Toronto murder first degree Wednesday in the death of the student at the University of York 23 - year - old Qian Liu.
Brian Dickson, 29, is to appear in court Thursday in connection with the murder of the Chinese student last weekend.
The news of the arrest came as a plane carrying relatives in mourning of Qian Liu landed at Toronto's Pearson International Airport.
