The man accused of the murder first degree of the student to the University York Qian Liu had attended the school and has recently worked for a group of NATO.
During a brief appearance in court Thursday, Brian Dickson wore a white shirt and jeans as judge of the reading of the charge. Dickson not entered a plea and was remanded in custody until Tuesday.
Dickson has been acclaimed as a representative of the McLaughlin College with the Federation of students of York in 2006, according to the University's Web site. York issued a press release Thursday afternoon by saying that it is not currently a registered student, and that he never received a diploma from the school.
Dickson has worked as an assistant executive to the President of the Atlantic Council affiliated NATO of the Canada in 2008. A biography on the website of the organization said that he studied the world politics and has been a delegate with the Nations.He of United Model of York participated with the developments in literacy, an NGO that seeks to improve knowledge in underdeveloped areas of Pakistan, said bio.

He has also worked as an instructor running.
Dickson was charged Wednesday, five days after that Liu, 23, was found dead in his apartment in the basement at 27 Aldwinckle Heights, near the University campus.
She was an online video chat with her boyfriend, who lives in China, about 1 hour of the morning Friday when there was a blow to his door, the police said.
She opened her door to a man and a struggle follows, researchers believe. Part of it is captured on his webcam and considered by her boyfriend.

Later this morning after police were notified by Canadian friends of her boyfriend, Liu body was found in the apartment.
She was naked in size, but there was no sign of trauma or sexual assault, police said. An autopsy found no clear death causes, and police say they are waiting for the results of Toxicology tests.
Liu studied at the University of the city of Beijing before arriving at the Canada in September 2010.
His parents arrived at the Beijing International Pearson de Toronto Airport on Wednesday, the day Dickson has been charged.
Liu Jianhiu, told journalists at the airport that he felt as his daughter was still alive and she just went to sleep for a little, after studies too.
